YOGA
I have been a student of yoga for over 20 years and qualified with The British Wheel of Yoga about 10 years ago. The BWOY is recognised by the Sports Council of Great Britain as the governing body of yoga. The training took 4 years and covered Anatomy and Physiology, Philosophy, Pranyama (breath control) as well as teaching methods.
I particularly enjoy introducing people to yoga. I love working with beginners it is so rewarding to watch people grow as they develop confidence working in the postures and it’s a pleasure to witness people finding inner peace as they learn the art of relaxation.
My style is gentle, yet challenging and my aim is to help students develop flexibility and strength. In my class you can expect to develop attitude knowledge and skill in Hatha yoga and although there are only 8 classical postures there are over 84,000 variations so the class should remain interesting. Yoga can be practised by anyone of any age however it is best to have some tuition. During the class you will learn relaxations techniques, develop good breathing habits and increase flexibility and strength in the postures. You will also learn good stress management tools such as quietening the mind.
A class is usually 90 minutes duration which allows time for good breathing, relaxation, warming up and winding down for the meditation which comes at the end of the class.

"In Sue’s yoga classes
I learnt to recognise
my strengths and
weaknesses which
enabled me to develop
my personal insights
as a result I became
stronger and more
able to listen to my

continues to help me
grow and develop."
